New Model in Chevrolet's Future?

You may or may not be able to tell from the outside but Hurricane Chevrolet is a huge enthusiast of new Chevrolet cars and trucks as well as the general auto community. In fact we are so committed to provide you with the latest and greatest from Chevrolet that sometimes we need to do a little detective work.

Recently we did some snooping around to find out what is true and what isn't with the Chevrolet rumor mill. One thing that we did find out was the GM trademarked the iconic "SS" in the beginning of April. Because of…

Chevy Cruze Hits the Red Carpet in Las Vegas

You may or may not know much about the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze but those that do know it is a safe, smart, and fuel efficient car. Something that you may not know about the compact Chevy is that it will be hitting the red carpet in Las Vegas and more specifically at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards

The 2012 Billboard Music Awards is a very well known event to honor song writers and signers that hit the top of the charts for the past year. Next to some of the country's best musicians will be the Chevy Cruze as…

Chevrolet Invites Students to 'Get Schooled'

Even more than producing the most reliable cars and trucks in America, Chevrolet is dedicated to supporting the community that has been their backbone since the very first bowtie-emblazoned vehicle hit the streets early in the 20th century. This takes shape in a lot of ways - from employing Detroit area workers, to giving back to the community. As a matter of fact, Chevrolet donated more than $27 million to United Way of Southeastern Michigan to help launch their "Network of Excellence" campaign in 2010. And this year, they're launching yet another campaign to help area high school students.

Chevrolet Delivers 1,200 CNG-Powered Utility Vans

As part of their efforts to cut carbon emissions in a big way, AT&T has made a commitment to use alternative-fuel vehicles in their fleets. As of the end of January, the company has deployed 5,000 compressed natural gas (CNG) vans, 1,200 of which they ordered directly from Chevrolet. The vans, based on the Chevrolet Express 2500 and 3500 cargo vans, will help AT&T reach their goal of displacing 49 million gallons of gasoline by 2018.

It's part of a ten-year, $565 million investment in greening their fleets. Jerome Webber, VP of Fleet Operations at…

Chevrolet Teams Up with OK Go for Super Bowl Ads

It doesn't really matter what team you're rooting for on Super Bowl Sunday, because when it's time for a commercial break, everybody's on the same team. As of 2009, a 30-second spot during the Super Bowl ad cost nearly $300,000, and had the potential of reaching an audience of about 90 million people. These factors alone mean that (even if your team is losing), you'll be treated to a laugh or a heart-warming chuckle in the very least. And of course, you can't expect major automakers like Chevy not to participate.

So this…

Post a Virtual Tree Today. Chevy Will Plant a Live One.

Hurricane Chevrolet, located at 200 Saturn Way Hurricane, WV 25526 has a riddle for you: How do you plant a tree without digging some soil and getting a little grubby? The answer: When you plant one virtually. And that's exactly what American Automaker Chevrolet is asking drivers in Hurricane and elsewhere in the world to do.

Like the social-media game FarmVille (still the rage among many Facebook users), Chevy's tree planting, or should we say posting, initiative allows participants to plant vegetation...specifically,  trees. Unlike FarmVille, the endeavor transforms all virtual trees into real trees.

No, we're…

New Chevy Caprice Hits the Beat

The new Caprice from Chevrolet is joining the ranks of the men and women in blue. Now, you might think it difficult for anything new to get into the inner circle of cops. Chevy, however, is confident the new Caprice PPV has exactly what it takes.

Our sureness stems from the fact that the 2012 Chevrolet Caprice PPV has been designed from the inside, out to cater exclusively to cops, and help make their inarguably difficult jobs a little bit easier... and a lot more comfortable.

Perhaps the biggest difference between the new Caprice and its rival PPVs is size…

Chevrolet Teams With Spotify...What is Spotify?

Most people are familiar with Chevrolet, probably due to the fact that Chevrolet has been manufacturing automobiles in the U.S. for 100 years. Spotify, on the other hand, is new to the U.S. and has only been available since July. You might be thinking, "What the heck is Spotify?" Let us explain.

Spotify is not an automaker, like Chevrolet. Rather, they're a music-streaming service that has become wildly successful in Europe over…
